Progress Reports
Progress Reports will be administered during the 5th week of each marking period. Every student from K5 – 8th grade will receive a Progress Report. If the teacher feels a conference with the parent is needed they will mark the Progress Report accordingly. Progress Reports are used to keep the parents informed of their child’s progress and level of understanding.
Standardized Testing
Stanford Achievement Tests (SAT) are given annually to all students in grades K5 through 8th. They are administered during the last week of April. The tests cover all major subjects and test students to check their progress. A copy of the results can be picked up in the office approximately 4-6 weeks after the tests are administered. If they are not picked up, they will be placed in the envelope with their final report card. There is a $50 fee to cover the expenses of the test.
Homework
Each student is required to complete his/her homework assignments. Homework time is between 3:00pm and 4:00pm in the classroom. During this time the students have the teacher’s assistance. All assignments must be signed by a parent and returned the next day. This will ensure that the parent is informed of what their child is learning and whether or not they completed their assignments.
Homework is a percentage of the student’s grade in each subject. It is very important that all homework is completed, signed and turned in the very next school day.
