Things to Remember:

  1. Please return all blend books so I can grade the pages that they read.
  2. All home work must be signed and dated by an adult.
  3. Any ripped home work will not be corrected.
  4. All home work with food stains will not be corrected.
  5. Folder: Please let me know before the name sheets are out.
  6. Bible: Study Bible verses:  A-M
  7. READING BEGINS: Practice:  Kindergarten books
  8. We are Reviewing Language enrichment
  9. We are writing, spelling and saying our color, shapes and number words.
  10. Review Character Development: School Habits, Being Polite, School Rules, Using Well-mannered Words. Selfish, Unselfish, thoughtful. Being respectful, being kind, being helpful, being cheerful,
  11. Phonics and Language: Identifying vowels in one vowel words and how to make the one vowel words. When there is one vowel in a word that vowel says the short sound, when there are 2 vowels in a words. The 1st get loud by saying its name and the 2nd Vowel is Silent.
  12. Sight Words: A I The(u). in on, and, it, at, we, be, he, an, has, as, is, his ( Z), am, can, had, will, with, then, this, of, for, from.
  13. Special Sounds: (Chart 6/7)  e- me, y(I) my, ay (a) pray, st- Stop, gl- glue, bl, block, fl- flake, cl- clap, pl- plane, sl- slam. Chart 6, Chart 7: Sh, th, thr, ar, ch, or, ir, er, ur, wor, ou, ow, oi, oy, oo(u) Book, oo(o) oo,  igh (i) all, alk.
  14. During our bible time they are learning : The Rich man and Lazerus, The rich man.
  15. Please practice the sound of the letters A-Z in Spanish. Numbers in Spanish 1-10, Color Words, Spanish Greetings, Spanish body parts,  Shape words in Spanish.
  16. Poems: At the Sea, 3 Guest, Whistles, The Woodpecker
  17.  All stories have titles and Illustrators, the Author is the writer of the book, the illustrator: draw pictures in the book.
  18. We are learning about the 5 senses, Living and Non- Living things God Created the weather. God created me. God Created seeds.
  19. Handwriting- Letters:  w, v, z, y, p, q, d, f, g, j, r, x.
  20.  Math: Adding 1-10 family, Subtraction 0-5 family.  Saying numbers 0-59, writing numbers 0-69 say and Spelling words: Zero, one two, Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.  Our Shape words are: Circles, squares, triangles, rectangle, oval, heart, star, diamond. Introducing Nickels and counting by “5”s – 100, introduce counting by 10’s Dimes. Addition, or Plus  + , = Equal Sign.
  21. We began using our Composition books, as we use this book, please sign, the pages, encourage them to study the pages, follow with your fingers and stay in the blue lines.

School Supply List

  1.  2 packs of 64 Crayola Crayons.
  2. 2 boxes for pencils and crayons
  3. 2 pks. #2 Ticonderoga pencils
  4. 10 plastic folders placed in a 3 ring binder, please label 1 – Home Work/ Information 2- completed Work folder 3- progress report and report card folder, 4- Spanish/ Bible 5- Science/ Health, 6- Art 7- Reading 8- Drama/ Praise and Worship
  5. No markers, pencil sharpeners, or colored pencils.
  6. 1 blunt edged scissor
  7. 2 packs of Clorox wipes
  8. 2 packs of baby wipes
  9. 1 pack of paper towels
  10. 4 packs of tissues for noses
  11. 1 pack of plates
  12. 3 pack of forks/spoons
  13. 3 hand sanitizers
  14. 3 hand soaps
  15. 1 Plastic container ( labeled) (1st Draw) 2 Coloring books 2nd draw- Folders, 3rd draw Toys.
  16. Girls can bring in tea sets, 2 coloring books, ponies, play dough
  17. Boys can bring in play dough, blocks, car set, 2 coloring books.
  18. 1 smock, 1 pack of Crayola washable paint, and 8 large to small paint brushes and a pack of painting paper.
  19. 2 black and white composition books labeled, Phonics,/ Spanish, Science / Health.
  20. 2 Packs of Multi- colored index cards
  21. All toys must fit in their draw and taken home Friday to be washed.
  22. 2 bottles of Alcohol
  23. 1 small pillow ( must be placed inside the desk on on a hook)
  24. Cancelling noise head set.
  25. 4 Erasable markers
  26. This can be purchased at Walmart or Amazon
